About Subconscious Art Expression
Health Spark Australia holds workshops in Subconscious Art Expression. The technique is simple and requires no previous artistic skills. But, the results can be astounding!
The visual results produced appear to be mirror images of the soul. They appear to visually map how emotions affect the health of each part of the body. What surfaces on canvas may or may not be familiar to the creator, but, is a reasonably accurate representation of what is happening at an emotional, physical and soul level.
Often, the paintings are childlike. Sometimes, they are very sophisticated. But, they usually always have a message to tell. They tend to allow for greater understanding of self and can possibly significantly aid stress relief. However, Subconscious Art Therapy is not a replacement for medical or psychological diagnosis and treatment.
Art Therapy is considered to have no known side-effects, however some people may temporarily feel much worse after subconscious art therapy before showing improvements. This is because flashbacks and associated feelings related to past traumatic experiences that can be buried deep at a bodily level can be tapped into and released. This is known as the ‘Healing Cleansing Effect.’ It serves to stir up, wash away and clear distressing memories and feelings from the mind & body. As such, while Subconscious Art Therapy can be suitable for clients who are severely traumatised, mentally or emotionally vulnerable and/or unstable, mentally ill, intoxicated, severely depressed or suicidal, Subconscious Art Therapy treatment and tuition, in such circumstances is best provided in a supervised medical setting and in consultation with advice of the individual’s licensed health care professional.
This healing cleansing effect can be likened to the shaking of a bottle of fizzy drink. After an outpouring, enjoyable sweet drink is left to enjoy. Meeting and enjoying one’s unique sweetness and beauty is empowering, uplifting, a wonder and a blessing. While individual responses to Subconscious Art Therapy vary widely, self development may well ensue and lessons learnt. Health may improve dramatically. Participants may feel much calmer and more balanced as a result of the workshop.
Painting is usually preceded by meditations, learning activities and discussions on relevant topics. The topics do vary and can include: Stress Relief, Appreciating Yourself, Understanding the Child in You, Forgiveness and Anger Management. And, workshops are tailored to and held at times that suit you.
